Bedtime Story: The Three Bears
Once upon a time, in a cozy little cottage deep in the forest, there lived three bears. There was a big, strong papa bear, a kind and gentle mama bear, and a sweet little baby bear. They were a happy family who loved each other very much. Every day, they would go for walks in the woods, gather honey from the beehives, and play games together. But one day, something unusual happened. One morning, mama bear decided to make a big pot of porridge for breakfast. She cooked and stirred until the porridge was just right. “This is perfect!” she said. But when she tasted it, she realized it was a bit too hot. “Let’s leave it to cool while we go for a walk,” suggested papa bear. So the three bears went out, leaving the porridge sitting on the table.
Meanwhile, in the forest, a little girl named Goldilocks was wandering around. She had lost her way and was feeling very tired and hungry. As she walked, she saw the cottage with the smoke curling from the chimney. “Maybe there’s some food inside,” she thought. She knocked on the door, but there was no answer. So she pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Goldilocks saw the three bowls of porridge on the table. She was very hungry, so she tasted the porridge from the first bowl. “This porridge is too hot!” she exclaimed. Then she tasted the porridge from the second bowl. “This porridge is too cold!” she said. Finally, she tasted the porridge from the third bowl. “Ah, this porridge is just right!” she said happily, and she ate it all up.
After eating, Goldilocks felt very tired. She saw three chairs in the room. She sat in the first chair to rest. “This chair is too hard!” she complained. Then she sat in the second chair. “This chair is too soft!” she said. Finally, she sat in the third chair. “Ah, this chair is just right!” she said. But then the chair broke into pieces, and Goldilocks fell to the floor.
Goldilocks was very tired now, so she went upstairs to the bedroom. She saw three beds. She lay down on the first bed, but it was too hard. Then she lay down on the second bed, but it was too soft. Finally, she lay down on the third bed. “Ah, this bed is just right!” she said. And she fell fast asleep.
When the three bears came home, they were surprised to find the door open. They walked into the house and saw that someone had eaten all the porridge from baby bear’s bowl. “Who’s been eating my porridge?” said papa bear. “Who’s been eating my porridge?” said mama bear. “Who’s been eating my porridge and ate it all up?” said baby bear.
Then they saw the broken chair. “Who’s been sitting in my chair?” said papa bear. “Who’s been sitting in my chair?” said mama bear. “Who’s been sitting in my chair and broke it all to pieces?” said baby bear.
They went upstairs and saw that someone had been sleeping in their beds. “Who’s been sleeping in my bed?” said papa bear. “Who’s been sleeping in my bed?” said mama bear. “Who’s been sleeping in my bed and is still here?” said baby bear.
Just then, Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears. She was so scared that she jumped out of the bed and ran out of the house as fast as she could. She ran all the way home and never went back to the forest again.
And the three bears lived happily in their little cottage, enjoying their walks, honey, and games together. They always made sure to lock the door after that, just in case another curious visitor came by.
So, dear children, always remember to be kind and respectful to others’ homes and belongings. And if you ever get lost, try to find your way back safely, just like Goldilocks did.
