Bedtime Story: The Three Little Pigs
Once upon a time, in a cozy little village surrounded by green fields and tall trees, there were three little pigs. These pigs were brothers, and each had a different personality. The first little pig was very lazy. He loved to sleep and eat all day. The second little pig was a bit more energetic but still not very hard – working. He enjoyed playing games and having fun. The third little pig, however, was very diligent and thoughtful. He always planned everything carefully and worked hard to achieve his goals. One sunny morning, their mother called them together and said, “My dear children, it’s time for you to go out into the world and build your own homes. Remember, always work hard and be smart.” The three little pigs hugged their mother and set off on their journey.
The first little pig, being very lazy, decided to build his house quickly. He saw a pile of straw in a nearby field and thought, “This will be easy and fast. I can finish my house in no time and then take a long nap.” So, he gathered the straw and built a house. It looked nice, but it was not very strong. The second little pig saw some sticks and thought, “These will make a good house. I can build it quickly and then have fun playing.” He worked a bit harder than his brother but still didn’t put much effort into making his house strong. He used the sticks to build a house that looked sturdy, but it was not very secure.
The third little pig, however, was very careful. He knew that he needed a strong house to protect himself. He found a brickyard and asked the brick – maker if he could use some bricks to build his house. The brick – maker agreed, and the little pig worked very hard to build a strong and sturdy house. He laid the bricks one by one and made sure that everything was perfect. It took him a long time, but he was very proud of his work.
One day, a big bad wolf came to the village. He was very hungry and saw the three little pigs’ houses. He went to the first little pig’s house and knocked on the door. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in,” he said. “Not by the hair on my chinny – chin – chin,” replied the little pig. The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the straw house down. The little pig ran as fast as he could to his brother’s stick house.
The wolf then went to the second little pig’s house and knocked on the door. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in,” he said. “Not by the hair on my chinny – chin – chin,” replied the little pig. The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the stick house down. The two little pigs ran as fast as they could to the third little pig’s brick house.
The wolf followed them and knocked on the door of the brick house. “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in,” he said. “Not by the hair on our chinny – chin – chin,” they replied together. The wolf huffed and puffed, but he couldn’t blow the brick house down. He tried and tried, but the house was too strong. Finally, the wolf gave up and went away, very hungry and frustrated.
The three little pigs were safe inside the strong brick house. They realized how important it was to work hard and be smart. The first two little pigs learned a valuable lesson and promised to always put in their best effort in everything they did.
And so, the three little pigs lived happily ever after in their strong and cozy brick house. They were grateful for their brother’s hard work and wisdom, and they all became better and more responsible pigs.
